By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or submit information through its forms.
About Blackpine Cybersecurity Inc.
Blackpine Cybersecurity Inc. is a Canada-based cybersecurity advisory firm that provides practical assessment, advisory, and incident-support services for modern businesses. Information on this website describes general service areas and does not create a client relationship by itself.
Website Information Only
Website content is provided for general informational purposes. It is not a substitute for a scoped assessment, legal advice, compliance advice, incident response engagement, or professional advice based on your specific systems and circumstances.
No Emergency Service Guarantee
Submitting a form, sending an email, or requesting incident support does not create an emergency response obligation, confirmed booking, duty to act, or guaranteed response time. If you are facing an urgent safety, legal, operational, or criminal matter, contact the appropriate internal teams, professional advisors, service providers, insurers, law enforcement, or emergency services as appropriate.
No Guaranteed Security Outcome
No cybersecurity service can guarantee complete prevention of cyber incidents, compromise, business interruption, data loss, or other harm. Outcomes depend on scope, environment, implementation, timing, user behaviour, third-party systems, and changing threat conditions.
Advisory Nature of Services
Blackpine’s services are advisory and assessment-focused unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Recommendations are intended to help clients understand and prioritize risk; implementation decisions remain the client’s responsibility unless specifically agreed in writing.
Scope and Written Authorization Required
Cybersecurity work begins only after scope is confirmed, written authorization is obtained, and applicable terms or an engagement agreement are accepted. Scope may define systems, accounts, timeframes, testing limits, evidence handling, communication channels, fees, deliverables, and responsibilities.
No Unauthorized Testing
Blackpine supports authorized, scoped, defensive cybersecurity work only. Blackpine does not support unauthorized access, credential theft, malware activity, data theft, evasion, attacking third-party systems without authorization, or unlawfully bypassing security controls.
Prohibited Uses
You must not use this website, its forms, or any Blackpine communication channel to request, submit, facilitate, or promote unlawful activity, unauthorized testing, credential misuse, malicious code, exploitation of third-party systems, harassment, spam, deceptive activity, or infringement of rights.
User Submissions and Inquiry Forms
Submitting a contact form, talent-network form, or email inquiry does not create a client relationship, confirmed booking, engagement, duty to act, emergency support obligation, or obligation to respond. Blackpine may review, decline, delete, or respond to submissions at its discretion.
No Sensitive Information Through Public Forms
Do not submit passwords, private keys, recovery codes, full customer records, confidential attachments, regulated data, sensitive incident evidence, or other highly sensitive material through public forms unless Blackpine has agreed to a secure channel for that purpose.
Confidentiality Limits
Blackpine aims to handle inquiries discreetly, but public forms and ordinary email are not appropriate for highly sensitive material. Confidentiality obligations, secure exchange methods, and evidence-handling expectations should be defined in a separate written agreement where applicable.
Engagements Subject to Separate Agreement
Any paid or formal advisory, assessment, incident-support, or consulting work is subject to a separate written agreement or statement of work. If there is a conflict between these website Terms and a signed agreement, the signed agreement governs the engagement to the extent of that conflict.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, confirming authority over systems in scope, maintaining backups, preserving relevant evidence, making business decisions, implementing recommendations, and obtaining any required legal, privacy, insurance, vendor, or internal approvals.
Third-Party Services and Links
This website may reference or link to third-party services, platforms, tools, or websites. Blackpine does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices, or terms.
Email and Electronic Communications
By contacting Blackpine electronically, you consent to receive electronic communications related to your inquiry. Email delivery can be delayed, filtered, intercepted, or misdirected; do not rely on email or public forms as the only channel for urgent or highly sensitive matters.
Intellectual Property
Website content, branding, text, graphics, layouts, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Blackpine Cybersecurity Inc. unless otherwise noted. You may view the website for normal informational use, but you may not copy, republish, or reuse substantial portions without permission.
Website Availability
Blackpine may update, suspend, remove, or restrict website content or functionality at any time. The website may be unavailable due to maintenance, hosting issues, security controls, third-party outages, or other operational reasons.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis for general information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Blackpine disclaims warranties relating to website availability, accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Blackpine Cybersecurity Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or similar damages arising from website use, inability to use the website, reliance on website information, or electronic communications through public forms.
Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from your misuse of the website, unlawful submissions, unauthorized testing requests, infringement of rights, or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
